Keeping the Fleet Ready
Sian joined The Loamy Cape in March 2018. She works from our main office at 15 Park Lane in Cardiff. Her main job is keeping our 9 vehicles in perfect shape for every executive run. She starts most mornings at 7:30 AM to review the bookings and assign cars to the right drivers. She handles all the behind-the-scenes work so our clients never have to worry about a car being late or dusty.
We have a simple promise: your ride will be quiet and the cabin will be clean. Sian makes sure this happens every single time. She runs a 14-point check on every car before it leaves the yard for a job. This includes everything from tyre pressure to checking for stray hairs on the floor mats. It usually takes her team about 3.2 hours to deep-clean a vehicle after a long-distance trip to London or Bristol.
Honestly, the Welsh rain makes it hard to keep black SUVs looking sharp. Sian has a specific routine for the exterior that protects the paint from road salt and grime. She keeps 47 individual logs to track maintenance and cleaning for every vehicle in the fleet. You will never find stickers or messy branding on our cars. Sian believes that a private car should actually look private, not like a rolling billboard.
Sian also vets our 6 drivers. She makes sure they know the local lanes around Cardiff and the M4 corridor like the back of their hand. We don't just want people who can drive; we want people who know when to stay quiet and let a passenger work. She tests their route knowledge twice a year. This ensures they don't have to rely on a sat-nav for every single turn when they are taking you to a meeting.
By the way, she's also the one who picks the specific chilled water we keep in the back seats. She manages the travel schedules for our 83 regular corporate clients. If you need a child seat fitted or a specific temperature set before you get in, Sian is the one who makes the note. She makes sure the small details are sorted so you can just sit back and enjoy the ride.
